Daily Classwork:
Monday 3/23 (minimum day)

We will be having another ZOOM meeting tomorrow at 10:30am!
If you aren't able join us, that is okay!
I've sent an email with the Meeting ID/Link information but I will also post it on google classroom as well.

Our topic will be "What are you reading?" Please be prepared to explain what you are reading right now-give us a few details about the plot and who your favorite character is in the book. Looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow!

 Math:
Our new math topic is Subtracting Fractions with unlike denominators.
You will be using your math book today. I've created a google slides again with step by step instructions (just like we were in math groups!) that I've posted on google classroom.
After you've looked at the slides, please complete pg.258 Guided Practice (#1-6) AND Independent Practice (#7-12) and then please stop. I will post the answers at 12pm so AFTER you correct your work, turn it into google classroom. Please remember to write your corrected score nicely and neatly at the top.

Work on ST math for at least 20 minutes

Language Arts:
Look up definitions of your new spelling words (1-15) and turn into google classroom.
Spelling Words
We are going to take our Spelling test on Friday-more details on that to come!

Adventure Story:
We are going to pretend you are entering a storytelling contest! You will be writing an adventure story. I want you to make the "judges" feel the excitement, danger and surprise of the adventure! It can be about a treasure seeker, magic, our solar system, a exotic country/place, robots in the future, etc. You will be graded on your creativity so try to be as creative as possible!

The ONLY thing that is due today is your Paragraph outline. I've posted a copy for all of you on google classroom so you should be able to write directly on the worksheet.
It is a T-chart just like we completed in class when we wrote about our favorite movies! Remember, this is very informal. You may even just write bullet points as your answers.
Paragraph Outline

Reminders: Your stories always need a title.
You always need a beginning, middle and conclusion when writing a story.
While you are completing your T-Chart and brainstorming, the more details you add, the easier it will be to write your story!
Be as creative as possible!

Read for 30 minutes and complete a reading journal entry. I will be checking them on Friday so you will have to turn in 5 entries into google classroom by then. You may write them all on one google doc or write them down separately. Don't forget to use 7up sentences and to date EACH one of them.
