Week of 4/20-4/24

Don't forget today is your first P.E. zoom session at 1:15! I have emailed you the zoom link info.

I absolutely LOVED all your dances/songs you turned in for STEM before the break. They were fabulous!!  

Math:
We will be meeting on zoom in 2 different sessions to work on math today.
Please bring your math book, binder paper and a pencil. I've emailed you the link/password info. We will continue to work on decimals
Zoom math meeting sessions are:

You will have problems to complete today but I will explain them over our math sessions. I will post the answers on google classroom at 1:30 and then you may turn in your work with your corrected score.

Language Arts:
Find the Spelling definitions for your new Spelling Words and then turn them into google classroom today

Start reading Chapter 10 in Percy Jackson but only read pages (149-159)
 Please don't continue reading because I would like us to try and finish reading Chapter 10 together :)
Then answer the review questions I've provided you on google classroom. 
Due: today, April 20th

Pick a new Wonder Wall question and turn in the question (not the answer ;))TODAY into google classroom. I will explain how we will present these
 If for some reason I need you to change your question, I will comment on it and you may pick a new one :)

Read for 30 minutes and complete a reading journal entry. I will be checking them on Friday so you will have to turn in 4 entries into google classroom by then. You may write them all on one google doc or write them down separately. Don't forget to use 7up sentences and to date EACH one of them

Science:
Work on your Chapter Review pg.B27. You will need to complete the Thinking Back Review Questions (1-8) AND the connecting ideas concept map. You will have time to work on this tomorrow and you don't need to turn it in because we will correct it together over zoom. 
Please make sure to add as many details as possible in your responses. 

Religion:
Start reading Chapter 10 pg.155-157 and we will discuss this tomorrow


Art:
Perspective Art Drawing due: Friday
I've left a link that gives you instructions on how to complete this. All you need are paper, black marker and either crayons or markers. 
One thing you will need to make sure you do is to fold your paper so there are 4 sections. Once you have divided your paper, you will need to start your drawing at the bottom section of your paper.
You do NOT need to draw what the example shows you. In fact, I want you to come up with your own creative idea! 
As always, make sure to add a lot of details please and make it very colorful. This isn't due until Friday and it's something you can work on in the afternoons when you have extra time :)

Complete the worksheet on Simple and Irregular Verbs. This is due:today
 I've made a copy for all of you so please write directly on the google doc. The directions are on the google doc.
But remember you use simple and irregular verbs to show WHEN the action happened.
For example:
 past tense: Ralphie walked across the street even though it was a cold and rainy day. The verb is walked and it's past tense.
present tense: Ralphie runs across the bridge because he loves to smell the flowers.
The verb is runs and it's present tense.
future tense: Ralphie will jump in the sand at Ocean beach because he loves the beach!
The verb is will jump and it's future tense.

Create a kite. Use recycled materials that you have at home to design and build a kite. 
This means that you first have to create a blueprint (remember a blueprint is a design) on paper and then create/build the kite out of any sort of recycled materials you have at home! Be creative as possible! Then, try it outside and see if it can fly! 
You need to also record yourself explaining your design, what materials you used to create your kite and testing it out. Was it able to fly?
